Eric Kapfhammer
Eric Kapfhammer has spent his career at the intersection of finance, data, and applied AI. At Microsoft, he led a data-science team in Cloud & AI security, building the machine-learning and time-series models designed to identify threats in near real-time.
Before that — and for nearly two decades — he built and ran systematic trading strategies as a portfolio manager and quantitative researcher in the capital markets, then founded and scaled venture-backed FinTech companies, including an investment platform he grew from $5M to more than $250M in assets under management.
He founded Seastone to put that experience directly alongside the teams building AI into financial products — the perspective of someone who has shipped in high-stakes markets, working with your people rather than around them.
