How we handle information you share with us through this website.
Last updated: September 2026
Seastone Associates ("Seastone," "we," or "us") provides AI product strategy and advisory services to financial services and FinTech firms. This policy explains what information we collect through seastoneassociates.com, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We keep this deliberately short because our practices are deliberately simple.
Information we collect
We collect only what you choose to give us. When you submit our inquiry form, we receive the name, company, email address, areas of interest, and message you enter. We do not ask for, and you should not send, confidential, personal financial, or material non-public information through this form.
Our hosting provider records standard server and delivery information, such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested. This is used for security and site reliability. We do not use advertising trackers, behavioral analytics, or third-party marketing cookies on this site.
How we use it
- To read and respond to your inquiry.
- To evaluate whether an engagement is a fit, and to correspond with you about it.
- To maintain ordinary business records of our correspondence.
- To protect the security and integrity of this website.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your information. We do not add you to a marketing list or send newsletters or unsolicited mail. If we ever want to contact you about something other than your inquiry, we will ask first.
Who sees it
Inquiries are read by Seastone personnel directly. We rely on a small number of service providers to operate the site and deliver mail, including our website host and form-handling provider and our email provider. These providers process information on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our legal rights.
How long we keep it
We retain inquiry correspondence for as long as needed to respond and to keep reasonable records of our business dealings, and then we delete it. You may ask us to delete your inquiry at any time.
Confidentiality
Our advisory work routinely involves sensitive commercial information, and we treat it accordingly. Client engagements are governed by a separate written agreement that sets out confidentiality obligations in full. Nothing on this website creates an advisory, fiduciary, or client relationship, and submitting the inquiry form does not by itself establish one.
Your choices
You may request access to the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or the CCPA, including the right to object to certain processing. We honor these requests regardless of where you are located. To make a request, use the inquiry form and tell us what you need.
Security
This site is served over encrypted connections, and we limit access to inquiry data to those who need it. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so please use judgment about what you send us before an engagement is in place.
Other sites
This site links to third-party sites, including LinkedIn. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, and we encourage you to read their policies.
Children
This site is intended for business audiences and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If we update this policy, we will revise the date above. Material changes will be reflected here rather than communicated individually.
